ANTI LITTER CAMPAING WITH HOLIDAY MAKERS IN GOMA

With CYNESA/Goma and Maison des Jeunes

On 21^st August 2018 in Murara quarter/Goma, Maison des Jeunes Goma with the Catholic Youth Network for Environmental Sustainability in Africa (CYNESA) had put together holiday makers especially the youth, to participate in anti-litter campaign during the time they were off.  No one ignores consequences related to the waste (Diseases related to waste mismanagement, pollution of the environment, degradation of the mindscapes…)

For this end, more than 30 energized and dynamic boys and girls participated in collection of waste all are the streets and the Maison de Jeunes, to sanitize not only for them but also for those who are willing to hold their activities in the same compound.

 Before collecting the garbage, the youth received some advices by the manager of the Maison de Jeunes, Mr. ADEODAT, on how to manage waste not only in their houses but everywhere they may be. Since EBOLA is hitting the North Kivu province, I took this moment to pass on the message on how to protect and protect the whole community against the above epidemy by observing some rules like washing hands at any time. 

After collecting waste, the following stage was to sorting out and separating the waste and finally proceeded to the cremation of the rest.
